I've always enjoyed mis-matched silverware and plates. I think they look charming together. I was at the thrift store, and there was quite a few pretties to be found! Allow me to show off a bit.
(BTW- "pretties" is a plural noun coined by my 2 y/o)
The serving fork and butter (?) knife were bonuses.
The knives were easily the best score. I am in love with most of them.
The spoons are the second-best. I especially like the iced tea spoon and the kinda soup spoon. Now that I am looking at the picture, I guess 4 of them look pretty similar. Meh.
The forks were slim pickins'. Indeed.
Well, in any event, I have some pretty new silverware. That was 8 pieces for $1. Can't beat that!
